This course fulfills all of the training requirements of the State of California and National Registry for EMT Basic.   The EMT Basic course is a hands-on interactive experience.  Upon successful completion of this course, students will be eligible to take the National Registry exam.  This can lead to employment in a wide range of job opportunitites to include:  Ambulance EMT, Fire Fighter EMT, Emergency Room Technician, Private Industry EMT, Special Events Standby EMT (sporting events, concerts, state and county fairs, etc.) and others.

During the course students are assigned two 12 hour ride alongs with an ambulance crew or time in a hospital emergency room .  During these sessions students observe patient assessments, observe patient care (including CPR, C-spine immobilization, airway management, etc.) and ride with & observe the crew  deliver patients to local hospitals.

We offer several versions of the course.  All are 180 hours to meet the new National Registry requirements.  Our schedules are designed to meet the needs of a variety of students including those who need to complete the course around their existing work schedule as well as those who need to complete the program in a very short period of time.  If participating in an accelerated program be aware that the program is fast paced and will require studying to pass the exams.

Course Location

We use a variety of classroom locations.  When you register you will be given the class schedule and location for your class.

Tuition is: 1200.00.  Seats are limited with this pricing - register early to reserve a seat.  Payment plans available. 

Tuition does not include books.  Book fees are $295 - books are required to take this class. 

We require every student have "Emergency Care and Transportation of the Sick and Injured" published by Jones & Bartlett 10th edition Premier Bundle, which includes access to the online resources for this text as well as practice exams for the NREMT exam.   You MUST have a textbook by the first day of the course.

Course Completion

Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a Completion Certificate and be eligible to take the EMT-B National Registry exam.  Upon successful completion of the National Registry exam, students will be eligible for state certification.

You may cancel your registration up to the first day of the course. There are no cancellations after the start of the class. If you cancel and request a refund you will receive a full refund minus $200 for the health and drug screening.Please call 800-773-8895 or email us with your intention to drop from the course prior to the first day . If we do not recieve any written form either email or letter with intent to drop prior to the first day there will be no refunds.
